LEAH KAMINSKY

Growing up with teachers for parents, I never thought I'd become a
teacher. So, I didn't "teach," but I created and led study sessions for my
friends. I didn't "teach," but I experimented with various forms of writing
from technical to creative. I didn't "teach," but I read endlessly,
memorized archaic grammatical rules, led writing workshops, and tutored
undergraduates. I didn't "teach," but I became a teacher.
A good teacher is not one who memorizes subject matter and
regurgitates it for her students; a good teacher is a learner at heart,
deeply passionate about knowledge she is bursting to share.
That's who I am, and that's why I founded Northwest Tutors.
